Ingredients for Maple Walnut Pie Recipe

2 tb Butter
1/4 c Flour
1 c Maple syrup
1/2 c Water (use freash maple sap
3/4 c Walnut halves or pieces
Pastry for one 8 or 9 pie

Maple Walnut Pie Preparation

Melt butter in small saucepan. Add flour all at once. Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture is golden brown. Add syrup and water and cook, whisking constantly until thickened. Allow to cool for 10 minutes. Add nuts. Pour warm filling into prepared pie shell. Bake at 350
