Spicy Southwest Pork Burgers Preparation
Grill the patties about 4 inches from medium coals for 15 to 20 minutes, turning them once, until pork is done. If you’d like a more casual meal, spread the salsa and low-fat sour cream on whole-wheat buns and serve like hamburgers.
Set oven control to broil. Spray broiler pan rack with nonstick cooking spray. Mix all ingredients except salsa and sour cream. Shape into 4 patties, each about 1/2 inch thick. Place patties on rack in broiler pan. Broil with tops 3 to 5 inches from heat 10 to 15 minutes, turning once, until pork is well done (170 degrees). Top with salsa and sour cream. Sprinkle with fresh cilantro if desired. 4 servings
