Ingredients for Shiitake Saute Recipe

8 lg Fresh shiitake mushrooms
1 tb Soy sauce
2 tb Vegetable oil
1/2 ts Sugar
1 tb Mirin or sweet sherry

Shiitake Saute Preparation

Cut off and discard tough mushroom stems and cut caps into wedges. Heat oil in skillet. Add mushrooms and stir-fry until almost tender. Add mirin, soy sauce and sugar and toss to coat mushrooms. (C) 1992 The Los Angeles Times
