4 lb Beef (chuck, blade or round)
2 tb Bacon drippings
1/4 ts Salt
1/4 ts Black pepper
2 tb Grated lemon rind
2/3 c Diced onion
1 Garlic clove ,sliced
1-1/2 c Dairy sour cream
6 oz Cooked noodles -or-
4 Potatoes cooked and cubed

Pot Roast (Spndagsstek) Preparation

from: The wonderful World of Cooking Brown meat in drippings Add seasonings, peel, onion and garlic. Pour sour cream over. Cover. Simmer(but do not boil ) for 3 1/2 hours, basting occasionally.
