1 c Brown sugar
1 ts Butter
1 c Boiling water
1/2 ts Vanilla
1/2 c Sugar; (ie: white sugar)

Mock Maple Syrup Preparation

Source: Canadian Cookbook Makes: About 1 1/4 Cups. 1. Combine brown sugar and water and bring to a boil. 2. Caramelize whte sugar by heating it in a frying pan until sugar melts and turns brown. 3.
