Ingredients for Microwave Cheese Soup with Vegetables Recipe

1 sm Onion; chopped
1/4 c Margarine
1/4 c Flour
c Milk
1 cn Chicken broth
1 pk (10oz.) vegetables
-(broccoli, California
-blend, etc.)
1/2 ts Celery salt
1/2 ts Pepper
1/3 lb Cubed processed American
-cheese

Microwave Cheese Soup with Vegetables Preparation

Precook vegetables according to package directions. Brown onion and margarine in 2 quart microwave bowl with cover. Cook on high for 3 to 4 minutes. Shake milk and flour together to make paste. Add to onion mixture. Slowly add 1 can chicken broth. Add precooked vegetables to liquid mixture. Add celery salt and pepper. Cook on high 1 1/2 minutes, then on medium-low for 15 minutes (covered). Add 1/3 pound cubed cheese and stir. Cover tightly until cheese melts (or heat on low for 1 minute). Stir and serve.
