Ingredients for Mamalou s Hot Dog Chili Recipe
3 lb Lean hamburger
2 Chopped medium onions
4 tb Prepared mustard
Salt to taste
3 tb Vinegar
2 c Tomato sauce
1 c Water
1/2 ts Red pepper
3 tb Chili powder
2 tb Crushed garlic

Lou Mixson of Hollywood shares this version, which originally came from A Tablespoon of TooGooDoo, a cookbook sold by St. Paul”s Country Day School. I have made a few changes to suit my family, Lou says. Thanks also to Brenda Gibbs of Hollywood, who sent the recipe from this cookbook. Put hamburger and onions in a large saucepan and cover with water. Cook until onions are soft. Stir meat and break up chunks while simmering (about 15 minutes). Pour mixture into strainer and drain.
