Why not just use fat free sour cream? Do they have sour cream in the UK? If not then creme fraiche epaisse a lite version. They have the low cal creme fraiche in France, used to buy it when I lived there. If it’s more available then low cal sour cream them do that. Or fat free plain yogurt even. And don’t forget the Worchestershire Sauce and dash or 3 depending on your taste And black pepper. I would my self crush a little garlic in. Start with half a clove or less maybe, and work your way up. I’ve never made low cal clam dip before. This is the first time I approach the holidays on a restricted diet. But clam dip I have a plethora of experience with. Never leave out the worckestershire. I’ll try the cottage cheese version thanks for as well.
I would drain the clams of there juice unless anyone can think of an easy way to condense that flavor. With out the cream cheese it will be runny with all that juice. That goes for the cottage cheese version as well.
