I believe its origin is a 4-H Club Cookbook. I”ve made it for years; it”s the best, basic chocolate cake I”ve ever had — with or without milk & eggs! FUNNY CAKE: Mix together first 5 ingredients. Add remaining ingredients all at once. Mix well. Spread in greased and floured 8×8 pan. Bake 350 degrees, about 30 minutes. Double recipe for 13×9 pan or Bundt pan.
