Ingredients for Green Tomato Mincemeat 2 Recipe
2 Dozen green tomatoes
1 lb Raisins
2 c Brown sugar; packed
1 tb Ground ginger
1 ts Ground cloves
1 ts Ground nutmeg
2 Oranges
1 Dozen large apples
2 c White sugar
1 tb Cinnamon
1 tb Salt
1 ts Allspice
3 tb Vinegar
Green Tomato Mincemeat 2 Preparation
Using a meat grinder, grind oranges (with peeling) and raisins. Grind the tomatoes and apples. Combine all ingredients. Put into quart jars and cold pack 20 to 30 minutes to seal.
