Ingredients for Fig Cookies 2 Recipe
1 c Chopped figs (about 1/2 lb)
1/3 c Water
1 c Butter
1/2 c Sugar
1/2 c Brown sugar,firmly packed
1 Egg
1 ts Vanilla
2 c Sifted flour
2 ts Baking powder
1/2 ts Salt
Fig Cookies 2 Preparation
Cook figs with water, stirring frequently,thickened (about 5 minutes). Set aside to cool. Beat butter with sugar and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla. Blend well. Sift together flour,baking powder, and salt. Mix into the creamed mixture. Stir in the cooled figs. Drop by teaspoons onto lightly greased cookie sheets.
