Ingredients for Decorator Icing #1 Recipe
1-1/2 c Crisco shortening
1 ts Vanilla
1/4 ts Almond flavoring
2 ts Butter flavoring
1/4 c Milk
1 lb Confectioner s sugar; sifted
Decorator Icing #1 Preparation
Cream shortening with flavoring, add sugar and milk alternately and beat with electric mixer until creamy and smooth. This icing is a stiff decorator’s icing and should be covered and refrigerated if all is not used. Cream again before using. Variation: use 3/4 cup Crisco and 3/4 cup butter.
