2 c Flour
1 c Shortening
1 c Sugar (brown)
1/2 ts Salt
1 ts Soda
1/2 c Sour milk

Date Squares 2 Preparation

Mix the 1st five ingredients to-gether thoroughly.Dissolve soda in the sour milk, add to other ingredients and mix well. Put half mixture in pan and cover with date filling.
