3 c Black beans
12 c Water
Garlic & pepper to taste
2 Stalks celery
2 Carrots
2 Red onions
2 tb Curry powder
1 tb Cumin powder
2 ts Cayenne pepper
1 tb Ginger
Stock or water
1/4 c Chopped cilantro
1/4 c Chopped parsley

Saute celery, carrots and onions [in water or broth]. Add spices. Add stock or water & simmer 10 minutes. Add half of cooked beans & puree. Add reserved whole beans & 1/4 cup each of chopped cilantro & parsley. Adjust seasoning if necessary.
