3 c Unbleached flour
1 c Sugar
1 tb Plus
1 ts Baking powder
1 ts Salt
1/2 c Butter
1 c Dried currants
1 tb Grated orange peel
1 lg Egg
1 c Non-fat plain yogurt

Currant-Orange Scones Preparation

From: pvallen1@aol.com (PVAllen1) Date: Tue, 25 Apr 1995 20:31:35 +0000 Preheat oven to 400F. In a large bowl combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Mix well. Cut butter into flour mixture. Stir in currants and orange peel. In a small bowl, whisk together egg and yogurt. Add to flour mixture, stirring quickly with a fork until dough leaves side of bowl. Drop rounded tablespoonfuls 2 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden. Remove to a wire rack. Immediately brush or drizzle honey on tops of scones.
