1-1/4 c Sugar
2 Eggs
2 ts Baking powder
1 c Corn meal

Corn Pone 2 Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar, beat in eggs. Stir in baking powder, corn meal and enough milk to make a light cake batter. Bake in a slow oven (300 degrees) until it tests done, 45 minutes to an hour.
