Ingredients for Chocolate Strawberry Fantasies Recipe
2 c Strawberries
8 oz Cream cheese
1/3 c Granulated sugar
1 ts Vanilla
2 oz Bittersweet or semisweet
-chocolate, melted and
-cooled
2 tb Orange liqueur
1 ts Finely grated orange rind
1 ts Finely chopped pistachios
Tiny mint sprigs (optional)
Chocolate Strawberry Fantasies Preparation
Starting at tips of strawberries, make 2 crosswise slits almost to stem ends, without cutting through. Set aside. In bowl, beat together cream cheese, sugar and vanilla; beat in cooled chocolate, orange liqueur and rind. Using piping bag, pipe cheese mixture into slits in berries. Sprinkle with pistachios; garnish with mint (if using). Refrigerate until chilled. Makes 6 to 8 servings.
