Ingredients for Budget Barbecues Recipe

1/2 ts Olive oil
1/2 c Onions, chopped
1 c Ketchup
1/3 c Brown sugar, packed
1/4 c Water
2 tb White vinegar
1 tb Worcestershire sauce
1 ts Dry mustard
1 ts Paprika
1 ts Chili powder
8 oz Sauerkraut, canned, drained
2 c Turkey light meat, skinless,
-cooked and cubed
8 Whole hamburger buns

Budget Barbecues Preparation

In a skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Add onions and cook until tender. Stir in ketchup, brown sugar, water, vinegar, worcestershire sauce, mustard, chili powder, and paprika. Bring to a boil. Add sauerkraut. Cover and reduce heat. Simmer 10 minutes. Add turkey. Simmer, uncovered, until turkey is heated through and sauce has thickened. Per serving: 252 Calories; 3g Fat (12% calories from fat); 14g Protein; 42g Carbohydrate; 24mg Cholesterol; 830mg Sodium Serving Ideas : Serve on toasted buns.
