Ingredients for Black Walnut Taffy Recipe
2 c Sugar
1 c Molasses
1/2 c Sweetened condensed milk
1/2 c Water
1/2 c Chopped black walnuts
1 tb Margarine
1 ts Vanilla flavoring
1/4 ts Salt
Black Walnut Taffy Preparation
Boil sugar, molasses, milk, water, margarine, and salt to hard ball stage (265-270F.). Add vanilla flavoring. Spread nuts over the bottom of a well-buttered pan. Pour taffy over nuts. Cool.
